Frequently asked questions.
What is a vehicle wrap?
A vehicle wrap is a digitally printed mobile billboard that is professionally installed on your vehicle. It consists of a large vinyl graphic or decal that is applied directly over the original paint. Wraps can be used for commercial advertising, fleet branding, or for personal customization and color changes.
Do you only wrap trucks?
No, but the website name was too good to pass up! We have extensive expertise in wrapping all vehicles, to include cars, SUVs, Trucks, Boats, and Trailers! If it moves, we can likely wrap it.
What are the benefits of wrapping my vehicle instead of painting it?
Cost-Effective: A high-quality wrap is often more affordable than a comparable quality paint job.
Variety: You have a nearly limitless choice of colors, patterns, and finishes (matte, satin, gloss, chrome, carbon fiber) that are difficult or expensive to achieve with paint.
Protection: The vinyl wrap acts as a protective layer for your original paint, shielding it from minor scratches, stone chips, and UV damage.
Resale Value: By protecting the factory paint, a wrap can help maintain your vehicle's resale value.
Removability: A professionally installed wrap can be cleanly removed without damaging the underlying paint, allowing you to change the look or return to the original color.
What's the difference between a full wrap, a partial wrap, and vehicle graphics/decals?
Full Wrap: Covers the entire painted surface of the vehicle. This is ideal for a complete color change or for maximum advertising impact.
Partial Wrap: Covers a specific portion of the vehicle, such as the sides, hood, or rear. It's a great way to make a big impact on a smaller budget, as it integrates with the vehicle's original paint color.
Graphics/Decals: These are smaller, custom-cut vinyl elements, like logos, phone numbers, or stripes, applied to specific areas.
What is the process for getting my vehicle wrapped?
Consultation & Quote: We discuss your goals, vehicle type, and design ideas to provide you with a detailed quote.
Design: Our in-house design team can either work with your existing brand assets and ideas or create a custom design from scratch. You'll receive a digital proof to approve before we print.
Preparation: You bring your vehicle to our facility. For the best result, we require it to be thoroughly washed (a basic car wash is fine, but please skip the wax!). Our team will then perform a final surface preparation.
Installation: Our installers professionally apply the vinyl wrap to your vehicle in our climate-controlled bay.
Pickup & Aftercare: We'll walk you through the finished product and provide you with care instructions to ensure your wrap looks great for years to come.
How long does it take to wrap a vehicle?
The timeline depends on the vehicle size and complexity of the wrap.
Design Phase: Can take anywhere from a few days to a week, depending on the complexity and revisions.
Installation Phase: A standard car or van typically takes 2-4 days. Larger vehicles like box trucks or trailers can take longer. We will provide a more precise timeline with your quote.
How much does a vehicle wrap cost?
The cost of a vehicle wrap varies based on several factors:
The size of the vehicle.
The amount of coverage (full vs. partial).
The type of vinyl and finish selected (e.g., standard gloss, matte, chrome).
The complexity of the vehicle's curves and body.
The amount of design work required.
For my business, what is the return on investment (ROI) for a commercial wrap?
A commercial vehicle wrap is one of the most cost-effective forms of advertising available. A single wrapped vehicle can generate between 30,000 to 70,000 impressions per day, depending on the routes it travels. Unlike traditional advertising, you pay a one-time cost for years of continuous mobile advertising, resulting in the lowest cost-per-impression in the marketing world.
How long will my vehicle wrap last?
With proper care, a professionally installed wrap using high-quality materials (like 3M™ and Avery Dennison®) can last from 5 to 7 years. Durability can be affected by climate, sun exposure, and how the wrap is maintained.
How do I care for my wrapped vehicle?
Caring for your wrap is easy!
Hand wash your vehicle regularly with a soft cloth or sponge and a mild, pH-neutral detergent.
Avoid high-pressure automatic car washes (especially "touchless" ones that use harsh chemicals) and direct pressure washing on the edges of the wrap.
Clean off contaminants like bird droppings, fuel spills, or tree sap as quickly as possible.
Do not use abrasive polishes or cutting compounds.
Will the wrap damage my car's original paint?
No. In fact, it does the opposite. When applied to factory-finish paint in good condition, a vehicle wrap protects it from the elements. The vinyl can be removed by a professional without any damage, revealing the pristine paint underneath. Note: Poor quality, aftermarket paint jobs may peel when the wrap is removed.
Can the wrap be removed?
Yes! One of the great benefits of a wrap is that it is not permanent. We offer professional removal services to safely return your vehicle to its original finish.
Do I need to provide my own design?
Not at all! We have a talented team of in-house graphic designers who can bring your vision to life. If you do have your own designer or print-ready files (vector format like .ai or .eps is preferred), we are happy to work with them to ensure the files are set up correctly for printing.
What colors and finishes are available?
The possibilities are virtually endless! We offer hundreds of colors in various finishes, including:
Gloss
Satin
Matte
Brushed Metal
Carbon Fiber
Color-Flip
Chrome
For commercial wraps, our state-of-the-art printers can reproduce any color, photo, or design you can imagine.
